The Spoon Theory www.butyoudontlooksick.com you just have to read this!

This is an excerpt from her blog.. it really spoke to me! I hope you take a moment to read it and that it blesses you too!

I explained that the difference in being sick and being healthy is having to make choices or to consciously think about things when the rest of the world doesn’t have to. The healthy have the luxury of a life without choices, a gift most people take for granted. by Christine Miserandino

  1. I have read this before and I was so glad that it brought the attention that it did. It is something I remind my friends to read when they just don’t understand when I can’t participate when in their eyes there is nothing wrong. Great for you to share it.

  2. Yes! I know this so well! I know it is going to be a really bad day when I go to bed with plenty of “spoons” and discover they are all gone in the morning… This story is a real testament to the things most people take for granted. Back in college, a doctor told me that most people he saw had their whole life ahead of them and never worried about tomorrow (college kids). Then he said he saw me as having been dealt a bad hand of cards and there was nothing I could do about it. Even some doctors do not understand but he did. Thanks for sharing!
